When it comes to entertaining spouses and children, no resort does it better than Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. If the entire family likes to fish, there are options for every age and inclination.

Young people love to cast or jig off the dock and can easily while away an entire afternoon (or two). There are canoes here and there if parents or grandparents feel up to giving lessons, and if not, resort guides are happy to lend a hand.

The bridge is a favourite spot to sit and jig -- a mere stone's throw from parents lounging on the Cookhouse deck, but far enough away from mom and dad to be fun.

And of course, if fishing isn't a unanimous favourite, there is always the Healing Grounds Spa, the fireside lounge, the library lounge and more super natural adventure than there are days to fill.
