Fishing Clayoquot Sound

Big Fish & Big Trees

Angler's Paradise

Clayoquot Sound is world famous for more than big trees. We grow big fish here too. The past few seasons have produced some of the biggest and feistiest ever.

From May through September, find coho (silver salmon) and sea bass. In the heat of the summer, giant tyee (king salmon) reign supreme, and deep sea halibut are prolific from March through September.

Fresh water fishing is spectacular and the scenery alone is worth the trip. Clayoquot river systems percolate with winter and spring steelhead and sea-run cutthroat trout.

Prime fly and spinning seasons vary with spring hatches and water levels.
