Helicopter Tour Vancouver Island

Explore Like Never Before with Our Bell Jet Rangers

Go farther, higher, wilder than you ever dreamed possible.  Our on-site Bell Jet Ranger helicopters can take you just about anywhere you want to go in and around the sound.  Choose from heli-flyfishing, heli-yoga, heli-dining, heli-ziplining, and so much more. Rates are a la carte as noted.

A la Carte Adventure

Design your own sky-high or far-off hiking, kayaking, remote-beaching, culinary, yoga, stand-up paddle boarding, sightseeing, breathtaking heli-adventure.  Full or half-day heli-activitity recommendations change daily with the seasons, weather, wildlife sightings, etc.  Perhaps a day trip, via Bell Jet Ranger helicopter to the Kennedy River system:  Take a beautiful sightseeing trip to Kennedy Lake and spend the day with a trained wilderness guide, journeying by inflatable kayaks, the length of the lake, down through the river, and out into the Pacific Ocean, where your heli-chariot awaits to take you back to the Outpost.

Cloud Day Experience

4500ft above sea level, near the very top of Ursus Mountain, a remote alpine playground, we call Cloud Camp, awaits adventurous late-season day-trippers.  A deep topaz blue-green alpine lake, inflatable kayaks and stand-up paddle boards, fly fishing gear, and other toys provide plenty of incentive for water play.  The view from the top is nothing short of spectacular. Cloud Day experiences are weather dependent.

Guided Fly Fishing

Resort guides know where the so-called secret spots are, and they guard them ferociously. The very best rivers and remote lakes for productive catch-and-release fly fishing are accessible only by helicopter, and they are stunning. Hemingway himself would have loved heli-fly fishing in and around the sound.  Beautiful, pristine rivers and lakes, virtually untouched and un-known, where gorgeous deep green pools, shady eddies, and rocky riffles are the stuff of legend.  Singles, couples, corporate groups, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, all love guided fly fishing. It must be something in the water…

Sightseeing

One of the best ways to appreciate the million-acre Clayoquot Sound Bisophere, is to explore it by air, flying low over the ancient rainforest, but not low enough to disturb wildlife and migrating whales.  Resort pilots know the sound like the backs of their hands. During one full-hour in the air, you can see a range of landscapes covering remote beaches, dense old-growth forest, waterfalls and alpine lakes, rugged volcanic coastline, sea caves, seal and sea lion colonies, First Nations villages, deserted islands, isolated lighthouses and more. $2500 plus taxes.  Capacity one to four persons.
