Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is now hiring for the 2019 season!

Join our world class Relais & Châteaux team in beautiful British Columbia’s remote wilderness where we work together to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. The “Wild Team” is comprised of individuals from all over the world that have impeccable hospitality service standards, passion for adventure and eco-tourism, and a deep respect for the planet. Our season runs from May to October. Housing and all delicious meals are provided, along with competitive pay and an end of season service gratuity.  Applicants must be eligible to live and work in Canada.

Guide Department:

Wilderness Guide

Our wilderness guides lead guests on a variety of land, marine and heli- based adventures in Clayoquot Sound including: hiking and trail running, biking, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, fishing, rock climbing and rappelling, archery, paintball, horseback riding, surfing and wildlife tours.  Depending on certification, skill level and experience, some of our guides lead a wider breadth of activities while others may have a more focused role (ie: fishing or horseback riding).

      Mandatory certifications for all guides:

  • Marine Radio Operation       
  • Wilderness First Aid (Wilderness First Responder preferred)  
  • Driver’s License

      Mandatory certifications for specialties:

  • Kayaking and SUP guides: minimum of Swiftwater Rescue Level 1 (SRT 1) and Paddle Canada and/or SKGA of BC Level 1 certification (or equivalent).
  • Boat drivers: SVOP, MED3  (If there are no passengers on board, only Small Pleasure Craft Operating Certification is required).
  • Surfing instructors: Bronze Cross and surfing instructor certification    

Food & Beverage Department:

All culinary applicants must have a minimum of three years experience in a fine dining establishment, with the exception of the staff cook position. 

Spa Department:

Esthetician/Massage Therapist

As part of our spa and wellness team in the Healing Grounds Spa, this dual position is responsible for performing facial treatments, manicures and pedicures as well as Swedish and deep tissue massages. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience working in a professional spa setting and is committed to providing exceptional customer service.
