Ensuite Tents
Ensuite tents promise king bed comfort plus a queen sofa bed. An in-tent ensuite bathroom with heated floor, toilet, double sinks, private outdoor covered shower, and plenty of closet and shelf space. A remote-controlled propane-fuelled cast iron ‘woodstove’, vintage oil lamps and candles set in sparkling antique silver and crystal provide authentic period lighting and ambiance - complementing electric light and amenities.
Sixteen ensuite tents showcase ever-changing intertidal landscapes. Waterfront Ensuite tents 1 thru 12 are situated on a secluded Bedwell River back channel, and Sunrise Ensuite tents 17 thru 20 rest on the foreshore, facing the rising sun. Two new Rainforest Ensuite tents (14 and 15), nestled in the lush, green and mossy forest across the boardwalk from the riverfront ensuites, offer sun-dappled immersion. Eighteen gorgeous ensuite tents to choose from, each slightly different from all others.
Antique furnishings and accessories dominate, but mingle with live-edge and great camp accents, to create an authentically westcoast Canadian style. Billowy down duvets and pillows, luxurious white linens, and fluffy white cotton towels, complete the offering.
Landscapes change moment by moment, as the sun moves across the sky, painting dancing leafy shadows on the canvas inside, highlighting a verdant kaleidoscope outside. By night, vintage oil lamps and candles bounce light off interior walls, torches light up the waterfront boardwalk, tiny footlights lights illuminate the footpaths, and millions of stars light up the inky Clayoquot sky.
Private decks furnished with Muskoka-style chairs offer magnificent quiet and beautiful views of the busy estuary and a rainforest alive with birdsong. Choose from 18 ensuite tents, 12 along the Bedwell River back-channel, four along the open estuary, and two under canopy of the rainforest.
All guest tents provide plush robes, slippers, spa slippers, hair dryer, all-natural amenities (shampoo, lotion, conditioner, cotton balls, q-tips), all-natural sunscreen (for children and adults), all-natural insect repellent lotion and spray, ultra-fluffy white towels, and laundry service. AC plugs for hairdryers, and for charging phones and laptops are located in the ensuite and living area.
